“Like colored glass filtering sunlight, Mandie Manzano’s pieces are suited for a monastery or distant castle. Gentle maidens and lush scenes craft fairy tales; and light is her medium. Soft yet luminous rays break through, colors gradate, and warmth spreads. Each work is a vivid patchwork of colors, bold lines, and patterned swirles, reminding us our brilliance fully shows when our light shines through.”

About the Artist
Mandie Manzano has been a professional artist since 2011, blending traditional techniques like mixed media, acrylics and inks and digital tools like her iPad. Her unique style (Gumboism as she calls it) is often inspired by stained glass, giving her pieces a captivating sense of light.
She has collaborated with big names like DreamWorks Animation, Diamond Art Club and Warner Brothers, and you can find her art in magazines, on book covers, and in galleries across the globe.
Based in Louisiana, Mandie's art is driven by her belief that it can bring joy, hope, and healing. She finds inspiration in old stories, the beauty of the bayous around her, and her faith.
“My goal is to minister through art, bring smiles, and share God’s light. I hope my work spreads love, hope, and reminds people how deeply loved they are by their Heavenly Father—even in the darkest times.

“Bayou Treasures”
A sweet bayou fairy sitting on top of her most treasured friend, a Louisiana albino alligator. Surrounded by the beauty of our bayous, I hoped to capture the fairy-tale like aspect we are always seeing on our daily walks. Everyone always associates the swamp with just moss and leaves but there is so much treasure to be found. We love seeing the magnolias in bloom, the lilies and the purple iris, the little white flowers falling over bushes and of course those sweet egrets that love to come and shine their feathers in the rays of the sun peaking through the bushes. The bayou is truly full of treasures and sometimes those little lights that you think are fire-flies just might be a little fairy friend!
“God’s Rest”
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”-Matthew 11:28
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve laid my head down at night and have asked the Lord to calm my mind and help me sleep. And by the time I’m finished praying, I wake up and can’t believe it’s morning!
