I love making Louisiana fairy tales. Here’s “Swamp Puppy,” an original on wood. I textured it with raised acrylics, mica powder, watercolor pencil, glitter inks, carved divots, and sealed the water with resin to give that aquatic feel. It’s inspired by a Bayou mermaid getting Valentine’s chocolates from her favorite gator. I aimed to capture the colors, textures, and iridescent shine found in nature!
